
John P. Cunningham, Ph.D. is a leader in machine learning/artificial intelligence and its application to industry. In his academic capacity, he is a professor at Columbia University in the Department of Statistics and Data Science Institute, and has received multiple major awards including the Sloan Fellowship and McKnight Fellowship. In industry, he has worked in, founded, exited, and advised multiple companies in the data and AI space. He currently serves as a technical advisor to a number of companies and investment groups. His education includes an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College (computer science), masters and Ph.D. from Stanford University (electrical engineering), and a fellowship at University of Cambridge (machine learning).
